The schedule for the 2019 Swindon Softball League season was officially released today.

As reported last week, the league will feature six teams in 2019 which will increase the number of games each team plays from eight to ten.

In addition to the added variety of opposition, the season itself will play into August for the first time in a number of years. To minimise the impact of any rain offs on the end of the season, two fixtures have been scheduled for non-Thursday play: the Bombers’ home game vs Las Panteras game on June 24th and the as yet unscheduled Las Panteras home game vs Dodgers.

The inclusion of a sixth team to the schedule also means that two teams will be on a bye each week, easing the pressure on teams to provide two umpires every week.
