Two teams from Swindon braved the cold weather of April 2nd at Farnham Park, Slough, for the first of this year’s Chicks with Sticks tournament.

In our first news item of the 2022 Season, we are pleased to announce that The Deanery Academy in Wichelstowe, Swindon is the new home for the Swindon Softball League!

The 2021 season wrapped up on Thursday night and what a great return to softball is was.

Great news everyone! The schedule for the 2021 Swindon Softball League season was released earlier today.

Thankfully, as things stand, it looks like we will be having an outdoor season this year, which is great news! Further details of how the season will look will follow over the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more! We can’t wait to see everyone again after a long and challenging year.

BaseballSoftballUK released their Return to Play Plan on 29^th July (revised on the 6^th August) and, as such, the Swindon Softball League is back for what remains of Summer 2020! We will be arranging weekly sessions (possibly two per week if take-up is good) and these will be competitive non-league matches; great for learning the game and honing your skills!

Given the fluid situation at present and going forward, the likelihood of the 2020 Outdoor Season taking place, or the form it takes place in, is currently unknown. Therefore, Swindon Softball League will not be organising any sessions/activities until we have reliable advice that it is safe to do so.

As most of you will know, Swindon Softball League has always run an indoor season during the winter months. This year, though, we’re doing things slightly differently.

The penultimate week of August saw the latest finish to a season in recent memory.

A top-of-the-table clash between Las Panteras and Aries and a first-time meeting between sister teams Spitfires and Bombers provided this week’s action. Who would break away at the top? And would the Spitfires get their first win?
