After April showers kept us away last week, we finally managed to get outside for our first outdoor training session of 2019 yesterday.

Run by our team of coaches and led by our Head Coach Jel, the session began by concentrating on directional batting in various game scenarios.

The session concluded with infielding drills which focused on technique, fielding the ball cleanly, getting it out of the glove early and communication and cooperation with your team.

It was great to get outside in the sunshine again and the practice was full of promise of the summer and season ahead.

If you are new to softball and would like to attend a training session, they are held at Chiseldon Recreation Ground from 5:30 onwards on Thursdays until the season starts when they will then move to Mondays (usually mid-May).

Due to the nature of the weather this time of year, please be mindful of the weather and dress appropriately, including footwear with good grip. For safety reasons please do not wear metal studs.
